Quality can only be achieved if you start with great fruit. Having worked with great vineyards from Santa Barbara to Eastern Washington, our winemaker has had the opportunity to work with fruit from quite a variety of top notch sites. The focus of our portfolio is on Bordeaux varieties from Napa Valley, but when access to a premium vineyard pops up, we may jump at the chance to add a special bottling.
Thomas Bougetz is the winemaker behind Bougetz Cellars. Creating a truly special wine requires spending plenty of time in the vineyards, working closely with the vineyard team. Our wines focus on individual AVAs, or regions in Napa Valley, with the intention of displaying the strengths and unique characteristics of each region. We source from valley floor vineyards in Rutherford and Oakville, as well as mountain/hillside vineyards on Spring Mountain, Prichard Hill and Coombsville.
The best way to introduce people to our wines is to go meet the people. Throughout the year, we are traveling around the country, pouring our wines at both public and private events. Spending time with wine lovers, talking about how each wine was constructed, where it came from and how it will evolve is the hard part of the job that someone has to do.
